Virtual Reality

INTRODUCTION

Virtual Reality (VR), sometimes referred to as immersive multimedia, is a computer-simulated environment that can simulate physical presence in places in the real world or imagined worlds. It is an artificial environment that is created with software and presented to the user in such a way that the user suspends belief and accepts it as a real environment. It can recreate sensory experiences and amplifies reality.

Virtual Reality is often used to describe a wide variety of applications commonly associated with immersive, highly visual, 3D environments. On a computer, virtual reality is primarily experienced through two of the five senses: sight and sound.
